Lorna Skuraton, LMT

Lorna is a New York-trained body worker and creative athlete practicing in Chicago, IL. Her experience as an aerial circus performer introduced her to massage therapy as a healing art, and continues to influence her unique perspective on human physiology and movement patterns. Her skillful touch brings relief from pain and discomfort, self awareness of the body and its external environment, and aides in discovering new options for movement, posture, and self-care.

Lorna’s practice philosophy recognizes that a person’s physical, mental, emotional and psychological history is manifested through the body, and aims to (re)align a healthy mind-body connection with the power of informed, empathetic and intuitive touch.

Because the human body is capable of self-healing, Lorna creates a somatic healing experience that is collaborative, and empowers her clients to understand their self-healing potential to serve our greater goals and needs.

Lorna’s specialties include structural integration, Swedish bodywork, sports/rehabilitative bodywork, cupping, myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, craniosacral therapy, thought field therapy (TFT), emotional freedom technique (EFT), TAP therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, trauma informed bodywork, healing through vagus nerve activation and somatic therapy.
